Cycling
The "Altes Schloss" is a remarkable building in the old town and was the former residence of the Marshals of Pappenheim until 1820. It was in the 16./17. Built in the 19th century, it is still family-owned today and houses several apartments. A visit is therefore not possible.

The second residence, called in Pappenheim the "New Castle", was built between 1819 and 1822 according to the plans of the Bavarian court architect Leo von Klenze.
The three-winged building with its classicistic plain front replaced two formerly built count's townhouses. The classicistic interior comes from the construction period and was designed by Klenze and Jean Baptiste Metivier.
