The Marienkirche is the Protestant main church of Osnabrück. Like the catholic cathedral, it is full of art and cultural-historical jewelery, the list of which would go far too far here. Absolutely the tower should be climbed - this is a great view of the city.

St. Marien is an Evangelical Lutheran parish and market church in Osnabrück. It is one of the most historically significant architectural monuments of the northern German city. A Romanesque predecessor church is already 1177 documentary mention. However, the architectural history of St. Mary's Church reaches well before the date of her first written mention. Archaeological traces suggest a predecessor building from the 10th century. The construction of today's Gothic hall church began in the 13th century and was completed in 1430/40.St. Marien looks back on a complex architectural history. Extensive restorations over time enabled archaeological excavations that contributed significantly to the reconstruction of the building history. Thus, the existence of at least three previous buildings has been demonstrated. As the oldest civil church in Osnabrück, its location is central. The Marienkirche is located directly on the market square, next to the Stadtwaage and the town hall. St. Mary's belongs with the Osnabrück Cathedral, St. Katharinen and St. Johann to the four medieval churches that surround the city center of Osnabrück.(Https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Marien_(Osnabr%C3%BCck))
