A superbly located chapel on an overgrown area in the middle of the fields. It is recognized as a heritage site. Unfortunately, vandals have already struck. The chapel consists of brick with a sandstone frame. Under lock and key: a statue of Joseph. The winter lime is also mentioned as a landscape element and it certainly is. Quote: "The damaged chapel tree has lost an important part of the crown and therefore has an abnormal growth form. The trunk is hollow and the tree has the characteristics of a veteran tree. Winter lime is the rarest species among the lime trees." Immovable Heritage Inventory 2024: Winter lime at Sint-Jozefkapel, id.erfgoed.net/erfgoedobjecten/132047

Picturesque sandstone chapel (19th century) between the fields near the castle of Horst. The lime tree provides cooling on hot days and every season produces beautiful images.
