Tips

Count Ludwig rebuilt the existing garden in English style. As a result, many exotic buildings were built, including a Chinese palace, an Arion ship, a gothic house and this artificial ruin.

Attractive center of Bagno, the lake. In summer, it is often used as an all around hiking object and in winter it animates for ice skating. It was created by the citizens of the city, grenadiers and self-relatives of the count, who dug from 1770 diligently against a good reward. Islands were created, moved, enlarged, reduced or abandoned.

A nice walk around the lake. You can learn a lot about the former French garden.

For the neat little round on Sunday okay. Even better: from here to the Buchenberg!

The water lily flowers on the lake are beautiful. A picture like from a fairy tale.

The Bagno was once the most important park in Westphalia, and from here you can hike to the nearby Buchenberg.

The Bagno was once the most important park in Westphalia. Of the original 39 buildings, only three have been preserved in their original state. Even today you can take a wonderful walk here in the beech forests.
