Completed in 1907 by the Lüneburg architect Franz Krüger, the water tower was designed to improve the water supply to the higher-lying parts of the city. Modern technology finally made it possible to remove the iron and filter the iron-rich spring water. Don't miss the wonderful view of the city and surrounding countryside from the observation platform.
