The Wall Wall - the heath wall - is a more than 10 km long, partly up to 3 m high stone wall around the highest part of the Odile mountain. The exact age of this wall is unknown, it is believed that it was discovered by Celtic tribes in 1000 BC. Was built as a refuge (according to recent research in 400 BC) and renewed in the 4th century AD. During the Middle Ages, the wall was used as a quarry to build the surrounding castles and monasteries.
