The Forum of Aquileia (115x57 m) has an elongated shape.
In 1936 it was reconstructed in its late antique form. Noteworthy is the colonnade, which supported an archway that stood on three levels, with shops, taverns
and religious and civilian buildings, including the Roman
Basilica as a place of jurisdiction.
