  • The Ohly Tower is a granite-built, 27 m high observation tower and is the landmark of the rocky mountain. The tower is registered as a cultural monument. The namesake of the tower is the former Darmstadt Lord Mayor Christian Karl Albrecht Ohly. The tower was built in 1891 by the Darmstadt section of the Odenwald Club, initially made of wood. The present stone tower was inaugurated on October 6, 1901.The Ohly Tower has been dilapidated for a long time and therefore can not be entered. It was bought in 2007 by a British investor and should be open to the public after renovation work. Near the observation tower is in the direction of the mountain summit a transmission tower.Unfortunately, you can not commit him and certainly enjoy the very beautiful view, but as a rest stop he offers himself anyway.

  • The sea of rocks with its enormous size is an impressive natural experience and those who don't shy away from the ascent will find many beautiful impressions on the traces of the Romans.
