Hutzelstraße Panoramic Trail

Why travel?
Biking or hiking in the Odenwald is great

Brilliant view:
- West side towards Gernsheim, Alsbach, Bickenbach and Seeheim-Jugenheim
- East side towards Neunkirchen, Allertshofen and Hoxhol

This is the well-known "Hutzelstraße" - an old and very beautiful mountain trail from the Kuralpe (Kreuzhof) to Steigerts. The path actually leads further towards Neutscher Höhe if you drive right through the small forest from the Kuralpe and then continue on the other side of the street (Lindenfelser Straße, L3098) via Hutzelstraße to Neutsch. There are many wind turbines there and you have a wonderful view. You can also hike or cycle via Steigerts and Oberbeerbach and then to Neutsch. There is a beautiful panorama restaurant "Talblick" in Steigerts. On sunny weekends, the main route of the Hutzelstrasse (Kuralpe to Steigerts) is often quite busy and therefore rather difficult for cyclists. But most of the time it goes very well. If you feel like it, you can make a detour to the Felsberg with a great panoramic view to Frankfurt behind "Ada's Buka" - a restaurant with a snack bar at the top.
