Hiking Highlight
In 1838 the extensive landscape park was laid out according to plans by the famous landscape planner Lenné. It extends south of the Schwielowsee. In the park there are various historical buildings such as the Schinkel Church, the wash house, a fisherman's hut and the old smithy with restaurant.

This park with a castle is really very beautiful, and the path to the village church with ascent of the church tower is also highly recommended.

The park is beautiful, but has a somber face.
The squire v. During the Nazi era, Kuehne taught Dr. Alfred Mehlhemmer killed with bullets in the head, as he probably discovered a black slaughter. Dr. Mehlhemmer had recently been released from prison in Sachsenhausen concentration camp because he had / is supposed to have spied for the Americans. It was rumored that Kuehne acted on purpose and that police and other parties were covering him. He was acquitted in court.
The GDR used the story of Dr. Flour inhibitors as victims of fascism. As compensation, Ms. Mehlhemmer received a house nearby, which she ran as a pension with a reason to grow fruit. She was later also taken into captivity (Russian?) With the same charge of espionage for the Americans. I think I remember that after her release she left the GDR and died at her own hand.
A memorial stone from GDR times near the fisherman's house commemorates Dr. Flour inhibitor and his place of death. Two very interesting lives can be read in: Margarete Mehlhemmer: Surviving in two dictatorships.
