Hiking

This rock was consecrated in 1897 to commemorate the centenary of Kaiser Wilhelm I's birth. Consul Ida Schmid from Hamburg donated the funds for “making it accessible” and whatever else was needed to organize the celebration. Ms. Schmid came from a family in Wunsiedel, who took great interest in the development of the Luisenburg complex.

From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Röslatal to Wunsiedel and Bad Alexandersbad.
