The oldest suspension railway in the world! You should visit. It's better to go up with a panoramic view than with the funicular. That's not all, once you reach the top you can go to the observation tower and from there enjoy the great view of Dresden on the Elbe. The Blue Wonder right in front of you and the suspension railway anyway. So you look at two sights. It's worth spending the four euros per person for the one-way trip. I would run down there, you can experience and see even more. A visit to the café is also worthwhile.

Six years after the neighboring funicular went into operation, the Dresden suspension railway started operating in 1901 and has since connected the Loschwitz district with the high altitude of Oberloschwitz. The suspension railway itself is an exemplary work of German construction art. As the oldest and still the only mountain suspension railway to date, it defied time and withstood the ups and downs of history. Only minor technical adjustments were necessary over time. The suspension railway has been a listed building since 1975.
