Since 1946, the seat of the Hessian State Parliament has been the former city palace of the Dukes of Nassau in Wiesbaden, along with other adjacent properties such as the former State Court building, the Wilhelmsbad (Wilhelmsbad), the Kavalierhaus (Cavalier House), and the renovated building with the plenary hall, an exhibition hall, and a media room.

The old plenary hall, which was opened in 1962, was demolished in 2004 and replaced by a new building, which was inaugurated on April 4, 2008. During the renovation phase, the parliament met in Wiesbaden's town hall on the opposite side of Schlossplatz.
