Water tower at the Zwinger, Wels
The water tower was built in 1577 by master mason Wolfgang Khranlachner on behalf of the city chamber office. It used to supply the city's public fountains and individual private houses with water. Also of note are Renaissance facade paintings by painter Niclas Linkh.

The water tower is a historical building in Wels that was built in the 16th century. It was used to supply the city with water from the Mühlbach. It has a beautiful Renaissance facade with coats of arms depicting the Habsburg possessions.
The water tower was renovated in 2018 and now shines in new splendor. It is a real eye-catcher in the city center and a popular photo opportunity. You can visit him at the Zwinger and explore the city museum inside.
