The settlement Teutoburgia, also garden city Teutoburgia, is a listed mining town in Herne.
The workers' colony was created on the initiative of the union at the same time as the Teutoburgia colliery in 1909 and was extended until 1923. The executor had conceived it after the English garden city idea with apartment buildings, large open spaces, green areas, outdoor seating and gardens.
The central Baarestraße was aligned as an avenue to the today no longer existing Werzer of the mine.
