The Langwarder Groden between Fedderwardersiel and Langwarden is the best place for bird watching in Butjadingen. A four-kilometre-long circular hiking trail and a two-kilometre-long nature discovery trail offer nature experiences of a special kind. The constant change between low and high tide can be viewed particularly well from several observation posts, footbridges and a bridge that leads to the fore dike. On numerous information boards you can find out more about nature and the landscape. Interactive models invite you to discover this interesting habitat.

In the Langwarder Groden bird sanctuary, exactly between Fedderwardersiel and Langwarden, you can experience nature on a circular hiking trail and a two-kilometer nature discovery trail.
A wooden plank path leads directly into the Wadden Sea. The salt marsh foreland also belongs to the Langwarder Groden, where redshanks, lapwings, avocets and several species of gulls nest. Various species of geese and curlews rest here in the winter months.
There are a number of observation posts and jetties that are particularly busy during bird flight. The Langwarder Groden is a hotspot for ornithologists, especially in October.
