In the bird sanctuary Langwarder Groden, exactly between Fedderwardersiel and Langwarden, you can ideally experience nature on a circular hiking trail and a 2 km long nature discovery trail.
A wooden plank path leads directly into the Wadden Sea. Langwarder Groden also includes the salt marsh foreland, where redshanks, lapwing, avocets and several species of gulls nest. Various geese and curlews rest here in the winter months.
There are a number of observation stands and piers that are particularly popular during bird flight. The Langwarder Groden is above all a hotspot for ornithologists in October.

Nice circular route. Attention, at high tide the walkways and paths are about 10-15cm under water. It is advisable to wear water shoes as the paths are very stony.
