Unique landscape that can be admired in the tidal influence. The Langwarder Groden between Fedderwardersiel and Langwarden is the best place to bird watch in Butjadingen. A 4 km circular route and a 2 km long nature discovery path offer a special kind of nature experience. From several observation posts, footbridges and a bridge that leads to the front dike, the constant change between low tide and high tide can be particularly well surveyed. Numerous information boards give you more information about nature and the landscape. Interactive models invite you to discover this interesting habitat.

In the bird sanctuary Langwarder Groden, exactly between Fedderwardersiel and Langwarden, you can ideally experience nature on a circular hiking trail and a 2 km long nature discovery trail.
A wooden plank path leads directly into the Wadden Sea. Here you can understand the formation of a salt marsh and have a unique insight into the unique landscape with its constant alternation of ebb and flow. On an almost 35 m long wooden bridge over the Sieltief, you can experience the elemental force and the dynamics of the tides up close, especially at higher tides.

Nice walk in a nature reserve. Watch out for ebb and flow 😊 otherwise there may be wet feet

The bridge leads through the Wattermeer. Especially when the tide is out it is breathtaking. This is pure nature.

This pier was built very beautiful in the salt marshes. No matter if the water is there or not yet. A walk over the jetty is always a great experience.

Great nature! We really liked the circular route. The telescopes are free, which is rare.

Very nice path, especially at low tide there are interesting views. At high tide, you walk across the water, so to speak. 👍🏻

A very nice idea of this jetty through the Wadden Sea. Whether by the watt or by water, it is always interesting on this trail.

Great thing, at high tide the footbridges and the paths between them are about 10-15cm flooded. Since the paths are very stony, it is advisable to wear water shoes.

The "Langwarder Groden" was recognized as a "Quality Trail, Wanderable Germany" at the tourism fair in Berlin.
"GERMANY'S FIRST QUALITY HIKING TRAIL THROUGH EBB AND FLOOD!"
    (wanderbaren-deutschland.de/wege/alle-wege/langwarder-groden-91d37f83b0)
On our tour it was ebb tide first, the sluices had fallen dry and you could see the deep gorges that the running water digs. The flood then brings back suspended matter and deposits it again on the salt marshes. We could see that very nicely on the way back.
