The Budjadingen Citizens' Initiative (BIBu) has erected the decommissioned fairway buoy 'Starboard Bell Buoy 33' in the port of Fedderwardersiel. The buoy was commissioned in 1928. In 1990, it was converted from gas to solar power. The buoy was decommissioned in 2006. The former navigation mark now serves as a landmark in the last fishing port between the container ports of Wilhelmshaven and Bremerhaven.
