The Fedderwarder Priel leaves the fairway approximately 510 m west of light buoy no. 33 and generally leads south between dry banks to Fedderwardersiel (FS). Depths vary greatly; the shallowest depth to FS is less than 1 m. Tidal currents running across the channel are to be expected when entering the Fedderwarder Priel. The fairway is marked initially by light buoys and buoys (with a number preceded by an F on the side) and then by portside buoys.
The Butjadingen Citizens' Initiative (BIBu) has erected the two decommissioned fairway buoys: 'Weser Port Bell Buoy 46' and 'Starboard Bell Buoy 33' in the harbor of FS. The buoys were put into service in 1928. In 1990, they were converted from gas to solar power. They were decommissioned in 2006. The former seamarks now serve as landmarks in the last fishing port between the container ports WHV and BHV. (SOURCE:deutsche-leuchtfeuer.de)
