"The stone sculpture museum for the Kubach-Wilmsen Foundation in Bad Münster am Stein is planned as a museum in the landscape that includes nature and the entire environment.
A historical half-timbered barn typical of the region will be rebuilt on the museum grounds and used as an exhibition space. The barn will be built in its original design - clay walls, timber framework and slate roof - and blends in harmoniously with the landscape. A mezzanine floor and several windows are added to the barn and transform its closed interior into a light-flooded room, open to nature.
The half-timbered building is surrounded by free-standing walls made of high-quality exposed concrete. New and old face each other in a dynamic interplay.
Wall openings are rhythmically inserted into the outer walls and open up visual relationships between architecture, sculpture, the sculpture park and the surrounding landscape. These walls enclose the museum and terraces at different heights. A reflecting water level characterizes the upper sculpture courtyard, a gravel surface the lower one.
Visitors will move freely across the entire site: along the concrete walls, through the sculpture park, through the museum courtyards and in the museum building itself. In the dialogue between sculpture and nature, people will understand the history of stone, which is the artistic work of Wolfgang Kubach and Make out Anna Kubach-Wilmsen. "

Many sculptures are outside the site and can be viewed.

Interesting stone sculptures, some of which, however, took some getting used to
