Tips
The Johanneskirche in Castell is one of the older churches in the region. It was already used as the early Christian baptismal church and was first mentioned as a parish church in the 13th century. For a long time, the church was the main and residence church of the Counts of Castell. This also explains the large new building of the 18th century, for which Joseph Albert was the master builder.
