Old Town Hall
Main building built between 1549 and 1556 on vaulted cellars from the 13th century Previous building destroyed in the great fire in 1540, which cremated the entire city. The basement (with a large hall) is massive, the upper floor is half-timbered with ornamental carvings, mainly fan rosettes. Bay porches with slate-covered towers from 1593/94.
Remodeling and renovation 1870 - 1908. Since the city administration moved to the New Town Hall in 1996, it has been used by municipal and other institutions.

The old town of Einbeck is worth a visit. Very beautiful old half-timbered houses and a great gastronomy or cafes.
