Tips

The Oberhohenberg belongs with 1010 m to the 10-thousends of the region Heuberg. There is hardly anything left of the ruin itself, but countless information boards partly on a metal platform give a good impression of the former castle and its history.

  • Too bad that it had very thick fog during my visit, so I can not say anything about the view from here. The ruin is great Signposted, ideas richly designed, with the pedestal and the suspension bridge, hats off and a "thick compliment"

  • At the beginning of the tour there is a nice playground and the suspension bridge, which wobbles with every step, is also exciting fun.

  • There is not much to see of the old castle walls that once shaped the mountain peak here. But that doesn't matter. Information boards tell what used to be. Then you get hold of one of the surrounding benches and enjoy the view, which is a wonderful one here.
Then it is advisable to continue the tour in the direction of Lemberg over the suspension bridge, to enjoy the eaves and not to shy away from the exertion that leads a 30m high to the Lembergturm.

  • One can only guess at the size of the castle ruins. There is only one metal platform on which information boards are attached. However, there are some seating options to take a break and you have a very nice view from up there. In good weather to France.
