Hiking on a new path up to eight meters high - starting from the Jelena Šantić Peace Park, the new Wuhlesteg made of Corten steel first crosses the Wuhletal cycle hiking trail. It then drops away and leads flatly along the northern bank of the Wuhleteich over meadows and areas of variable wetness to the foot of the Kienberg. Here it ends at the seemingly floating place by the lake.
The new pedestrian path connects the districts of Marzahn and Hellersdorf. Along the approximately 280 meter long path there are unique views of vegetation and fauna worthy of protection with a great diversity of species. When the footbridge was created, not only were nature conservation issues given particular attention, but in the middle area of the Wuhlesteg a new wetland biotope with changing water levels was created. To ensure that this special natural experience space is also open to small visitors, windows are cut into the closed, 1.30 meter high railing so that they can look out, and halfway along a balcony offers all visitors a view over the entire Wuhle Valley.
