On the southern slope of the Salober, the church of St. Anna is below the castle ruins of Vilseck. The exact origin of the church is not known. The year 1506 in the choir arch does not concern the building of the church, but a later design. The feast day of St. Anne is July 26th. St. Anna is called to ward off thunderstorms: "St. Anna, drive the Twitter from then".

Cycling
At the foot of the Vilsegg ruin lies the small church of St. Anna. It was built at the latest in the 13th century in the Romanesque style (the north tower still dates from this period) and served as the castle church for the lords of Hohenegg at Vilsegg Castle. The main body of the church was later redesigned in the Gothic style. St. Anna is equipped with Gothic choir stalls and three Baroque altars. The high altar painting of Saints Joachim and Anna with the reading Mary dates from 1756.
