Today, the observation tower is a popular destination. For the ascent to the 17-meter-high tower with its 111 steps you will be rewarded with a great view: In good weather and clear views, the panoramic view from Bungsberg to the cranes of the Kiel shipyards, to Fehmarn and even across the Baltic Sea to the Danish Islands.
The octagonal tower is a listed building and was renovated in 1983. Since then, the colored leaded glass windows have been given a new shine. On sunny days, the landscape appears through these windows in the brightest colors. A special pleasure is this play of colors at sunset.
Please have a 1 Euro coin ready for entry through the revolving door!

Once you have cycled up the Pilsberg and then mastered the spiral staircase from the Hessenstein, you will be rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Selent, the Baltic Sea and the beautiful surrounding landscape.

From the tower you have a great view in good weather, but you have to have 1 € with you. If you are already on the corner and looking for a sporting challenge, you can also drive to the nearby Strezerberg.
