Tips
  • The Säntis is always worth a visit. The view from and into the distance is breathtakingly beautiful. Whether as a starting point to the Rotsteinpass over the Lisengrat or down to the Meglisalp, everyone will find their own route. But for the physical well-being go to the old Säntis, it's worth it. 😁

  • From this solitary mountain massif you have a fantastic view over Lake Constance. Unfortunately it was built in a terribly ugly way and thanks to the cable car too many people up there! The way up on foot is still really fun! From the south you have the ascent almost all to yourself & behind you a wonderful panorama. The sheep floor invites you to rest. Shortly before the finish, you can also scramble a bit.

  • The ibex can of course not be seen on the LENSE but on the L I S E N G R A G T.
The Lisengrat is of course not in the Alb (Traum )stein but in the A L P S T E I N.

    Sorry, but for next time.

  • Albert Einstein, probably the best-known scientist of modern times, spent a good part of his youth in Switzerland. At that time, the inquisitive genius really liked the Säntis and climbed to the summit several times.

  • To have such a view at 2,500 meters is unique in the Alps. The prominence of the Säntis is second to none.

  • With a bit of luck you will see ibexes at the Linsengrad

Incredibly beautiful view from up here. A must for everyone who hikes in the Albstein.

Quite a rocky ascent and strenuous "heavenly ladder", however, it is all the more worthwhile

  • Here I found a quiet place. No street noise no helicopters. Only cow bells, birdsong and a big colony of ibex.

  • For tourists a great overview of the Alpstein - for our one rather overrun by the gondola climbers.

  • Good shoes with rubber sole because the stones / rocks, especially in the upper part, are slippery.
