The small Notre-Dame-Des-Bois chapel, built in 1859, is one of the hidden treasures of Bitcherland. Located next to the pond of the pea pond, the altar of this sandstone chapel is decorated with a stone tabernacle containing an iron chest, a crucifix and four candlesticks. After the last war, the roof of the prayer house was damaged, the pews, candlesticks, worship objects and the statue of the Mother of God disappeared. The walls inside were covered with inscriptions: the military men of the Maginot line had engraved their names there. The chapel had served as shelter for their horses. During the 1974 renovation, a new statue of Our Lady was blessed and the small bell that was found was repaired.
