The last hike on the Our is also the last on this little trip. It got very warm and so we only walk as far as Bivels. Again a very nice and varied round today. The pretty old town, the castle, some challenging rocky paths and in the second part a lot of information about the reservoir and the technology used to generate electricity.

Small round at Kohnenhof on the way to Vianden. Over the GR 5, the entrance is barely visible, uphill. And in a loop past a Lost Place, maybe a campsite and over the Way of St. James, unfortunately identical to the N10 back here. Simply beautiful in the Our valley

Today we tackled Route 1. It leads us north to the border triangle. This time we first walk on the German side over comfortable forest paths and through dense natural forest to the Königslei viewpoint and on to the triangle. Even nicer, the way back over the GR 5 narrow paths mostly on the river and next to mossy rocks.

Today we have chosen a round in the valley of the Our. From the Tintesmühle it went downstream mostly along the river. Great sections of the forest, idyllic meadows full of flowers and slate rocks accompany the path. Good to go especially as it is a little cooler today than in the last few days

We are back in Luxembourg and want to hike two more laps of the nature trail here. It got very warm, let's see?

The Eifelgold hike leads through the Irsen valley, always along the pretty river. Only the butterflies are not as numerous as described. Peace and quiet, chirping birds, deer and squirrels - idyll. At the Karlshausener Mühle it goes uphill past clay slate rocks. Now we have a wide view of Luxembourg and the forests of the Our. We already hiked the war graves site of Daleiden yesterday so we shorten a little here and hike downhill to the Irsen reservoir.

Now we are back on the premium trails of the deluxe nature hiking park. The starting point is the Irrhausen campsite, which welcomes you but is currently without an operator. Here we are almost alone. Eifelgold, a round of 20 km we will go in two stages. Today the way to Kreditiden through the nature reserve Ginsterheide to the war graves site of Kreditiden is impressive.

I found this round by chance, none of the premium trails in the southern Eifel, little part of the path but very scenic. At the top, the tour lives up to the name Schönecker Schweiz, less because of the rocks, more because of the alpine landscape. Great vegetation in the stream valleys, seas of wild garlic. Almost at the end there was an involuntary climbing activity, we had followed a sign. The recently restored castle ruins of Schöneck are also beautiful
