Cycling

Bike friendly city. Bike paths everywhere. Historical old city. There are nice cafes along the Mühlbach that flows through the city. Lots of ice cream parlors. Da Claudio is the best ice cream parlor in town and is open all year round. Large bus station from where you can travel cheaply to Allgäu Airport in about 15 minutes, right next to the train station.

Memmingen is a beautiful little town with a fun-loving population. I grew up there, the pub scene is a little quieter than it was 30 years ago, the wine market has reduced traffic and the pedestrian zone from the town hall square to the Schrannenplatz is nice for a stroll.
