A vacation on the lake without a bike tour on the Alte Ponale road? Simply unthinkable!
For me, the "Ponale" is absolutely one of the most beautiful bike paths in Europe 👌😎
Unfortunately, only the upper part of the "Ponale" was marked by @Gregor 😥

Beautiful, but tiring, it's still worth it!

To change the valley side, a new way has been set up. Shortly before the long tunnel from Riva ends, there is this path that connects to the trail to Lake Ledro.

On the route to one of the classic Lake Garda locations, Lago di Ledro, you find yourself with a breathtaking view through the valley of the Ponale.

    Top view of the lake!
Particularly busy in the afternoon, when many bikers come back from the mountains and roll towards Riva / Torbole. So: eyes on 👀

Beautiful track with great views of Lake Garda, free of cars, only for walkers and cyclists.

Certainly one of the most beautiful MTB routes on Lake Garda. Although in the afternoon with lots of oncoming traffic returning MTBler from the surrounding mountains

The old Ponale is always a highlight on the way to Lake Ledro or Tremalzo

The most traveled route from Lake Garda to Lake Ledro.
That is a fitting description. But it also has one (many) good reasons for the large number of visitors.

Simply terrific. Similar to the Passo Tremalzo, an absolute cult route that you simply have to drive once. It is best to start very early, as it is very busy.
