One of the landmarks of the Halde Norddeutschland is the "Himmelstreppe" erected in 2007 as a work of art. 359 steps overcome about 52 meters of altitude and lead on short way to Haldentop. The artwork unfolds its attraction especially in the dark. The LED lights in the handrail of the staircase point upwards, magically attract attention and make you curious.
