As part of the "Leisure Route Fliegerhorst Oldenburg and Wiefelstede", the connecting path "Ole Karkpadd", which is designated as a pedestrian and cycle path and which connects the two communities of Wiefelstede and Bad Zwischenahn in the districts of Metjendorf and Ofen via the former air base site, is to be prepared in asphalt from the 46th calendar week in cooperation between the city of Oldenburg and the municipality of Wiefelstede over a length of around 900 m and a width of 2.50 m.
