This idyllic hiking trail mostly follows the old church path through the Mansholter Holz.
If you are looking for peace and nature, you should use this hiking trail into the “Mansholter Büsche”. The forest area covers 330 hectares and is a historically old oak and hornbeam forest with outstanding importance for nature conservation. The Geest supports valuable forest communities. The site is on nutrient-rich, water-retaining “Lauenburg clay”. The natural diversity is based on scattered drift sands as well as the formation of moors and floodplains, which lead to mosaic-like site conditions. The forest (220 ha) is managed in a natural and sustainable manner, with species diversity, uneven age and tieredness being the aim. The aim of this management is an ecologically stable forest.
