Talstraße

You start from Neuleiningen with a very gentle gradient of an average of 2% to Lindemannsruhe. The first section leads through the valley along the Eckbachs and is in my opinion relatively dreary to drive, since this section to Altleiningen but very influenced by industry. Only from Altleiningen meanders the road below the castle on a narrow road through the village, which spreads a sense of seclusion and tranquility. In the center behind the Protestant church, the path turns left with a short crisp slope towards Höningen. If you have managed this one gets a very good view of the valley of the Höniger brook with its meadows and fields. After leaving the monastery Höningen and the village left over as a ruin, the narrow road climbs gently to 488m above sea level. NN. Very nice, winding section with little traffic. Especially at dusk when here and there sun rays fall through the mixed forest, the Palatinate Forest with its colorful sandstone cliffs presents itself from the most beautiful side. If you have made it to the Lindemannsruhe it only goes down to Leistadt, from where you have a nice view of the Rhine valley.

Well paved, narrow forest road from / to Lindemannsruhe in the middle of the Palatinate Forest. The road width and quality make you feel like a racing cyclist directly to the Tour de France in Provence offset.

A great road bike route. The asphalt is good. The slopes are moderate. Only on weekends is the street quite full, full of day trippers.
