Conic Hill is part of a major geological feature known as the Highland Boundary Fault. This forms a zone separating the lowlands to the south from the Highlands to the north, each with different rock types, landscapes, animal and plant life, and cultural heritage. There are wonderful views from the top.

On the descent down to Balmaha, your knees fly away. But then the beer tastes good.
The descent from Conic Hill to Balmaha is nothing for weak knees. But you deserve the break after.

Short, beautiful tour with great views over Loch Lomond and exciting descent! It's worth it!

The stone steps to/from Conic Hill are fairly newly built. Extra caution is required when it is wet!
