Along the Dreisam leads the Dreisamradweg, consistently asphalted and traffic light-free, it allows a fairly rapid crossing of all of Freiburg from west to east or vice versa. However, in good weather, especially on weekends, it is heavily frequented, not only by cyclists of all kinds, but also by joggers, inline skaters, wave surfers, dog gazi guides or walkers. The hunt for a high average speed should therefore be better relocated to other routes.
