Arche Nebra

The entrance fee includes a 20-minute film in the planetarium that explains the function (s) of the Nebra Sky Disk. I found the exhibition very interesting and well done.

The place where the sky disc was found on the Mittelberg and the ark are connected by a well-signposted, almost three-kilometer-long hiking trail. The ascent to the 30 meter high tower is definitely worth it.

The ark is a sky bark and can be seen from afar.

It's not worth it!
But if you are ever here, then you should definitely go up to the Mittelberg to lookout tower.
The view from up there compensates for the architectural destruction of the area by the ark

Length of stay approx. 1 hour for a regular € 7.50.
You can get cheaper tickets through hotels in the region.
There are packages / arrangements including a ticket for the entrance to Arche Nebra and the Rotkäppchen sparkling wine cellar

Here you can learn a lot about the discovery of the sky disc and its significance. the building is based on the moon of the sky disc by Austrians.
The exhibition and the planetarium are very worth seeing.

Interesting astronomy and archeology history, unfortunately, the discovery is too short. Film in the planetarium explains the meaning of the disc very vividly.

Very interesting information center. A short film also explains the relationship to the Goseck solar observatory well. From here you can also hike to Mittelberg.
