Very quiet and nostalgic village... Here the river Train passes... Numerous panoramic views nearby...

Graven (French: Grez-Doiceau) is a village and municipality in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. The municipality has over 13,000 inhabitants. The rivers Dijle and Train flow through the municipality. Graven is located in the Brabant Ardennes.

At the end of the Ancien Régime, Graven became a municipality under French rule. In 1811, the municipality of Doiceau was abolished and annexed to Graven.

In 1977, Biez, Bossut-Gottechain, Eerken and Nethen were annexed to the merged municipality of Graven.

The church of Biez has a special location on a rocky hill above the confluence of the rivers Train and Hèze. In Graven lies the castle of Piétrebais (on the river of the same name), although Piétrebais is also the name of a lake to the east

A hamlet of Graven, on the border with Wavre, is called "Gastuche" after a refuge (guest house) that a monastic order from that city had there.

Varied walk, it can be muddy in rain.
