The Brunsburg on the Brunsberg ... Everything up here is unbelievably old, but don't expect a medieval castle ruin. Rather, you have to let your imagination run wild. Old remains of walls tell of an early medieval castle that was already known in the days of Emperor Karl and his war against the Saxons. And that was in the 8th century, that was a while ago. But finds of tools and weapons have shown that the Brunsberg was already being used as a refuge 6,000 years ago. Back then, of course, everything was treeless up on the Brunsberg... 🧐
