Wehrden Castle is an impressive baroque complex with a main building and several auxiliary buildings. In place of a previous building, the castle was built in 1696-1699 by the then Paderborn Prince-Bishop Hermann Werner von Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht as a summer residence and has been in the possession of the Barons von Wolff-Metternich without interruption ever since. A tour is not possible, the courtyard can be entered.
