Mouthmill Beach is home to the magnificent Blackchurch rock is a large arch stack. The magnificent arches are made from Hartland Quay Shale and contain goniatite fossils. The isolated cove has long been associated with smuggling activities. You can still see the remains of an old limekiln nearby whose limestone and coal would have been brought in via boat.

Nice place to go for a hike. No where to get refreshments so make sure you’re well prepared.

Fantastic views and a beautiful nature! Never seen so many yellow broom and thousands of blue bells in the forest (late April / early May)
