The Hartberg charnel house dates back to the second half of the 12th century. It is a two-story, double-round building with conical roofs and tiled roofs. The ashlar masonry is made of local shell limestone. The upper floor houses the chapel room with a three-quarter apse decorated with frescoes. The diameter of the main room is 6.6 meters, and that of the apse is 4 meters. The main room, a St. Michael's Chapel, is 7 meters high, and the conical roof is 8 meters high. The ossuary is located in the basement. According to an inscription above the portal, the charnel house was built in 1167.de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karner_(Hartberg)
