Eine gemütliche, flache Runde zu Zweit, im Örtchen Welgersdorf, östlich von Grosspetersdorf. Viel Gegend, viele Vögel, ein paar Renntiere und ein Fischteich. Eigentlich eine unspektakuläre Tour, aber dann doch wieder abwechslungsreich.

It was a bit strenuous today with the current, deep forest floor. And to top it all off, just before the summit, my left calf started to ache. So the last 3 kilometers back to the car were more of a hobble and unusually slow downhill.

Oberlimbach-Haller-Rohrbach-Längenbach-Unterlimbach ... eine Wäldertour
Eine (von der Streckenführung her, etwas konfuse) Rundwanderung von Oberlimbach, über Haller und Rohrbach, durch Längenbach und Unterlimbach zurück. Mit viel Wald, einigen Highlights und stellenweise toller Aussicht.

3 Gipfel Wilderness bei Rohrbach
Knackige Steigungen ohne Weg durch den Wald. Das ist das Haupt-Merkmal dieser Tour über drei Gipfel bei Rohrbach an der Teich. Natürlich aber auch viele "normale" Kilometer. Ein paar Highlights und ein wenig Aussicht gibts dazu.

That was a real challenge today. Pathless with crisp ascents (and descents) in the forest - that really gets the circulation going. Although - the tour is only recommended with navigation or mobile phone or GPS tracker. Even in Burgenland there are large forests (you wouldn't believe it) 😎

Über den Berdo
Eine Rundwanderung von Siget über Eisenzicken nach Spitzzicken und den Berdo, zurück nach Siget. Am höchsten Punkt des Berdo ist zwar Null Aussicht (mitten im Wald) aber die Tour bietet durchaus ein paar Aussichtspunkte. Mir hats gefallen :)

Von der Friedensburg zum Erzberg
Eine Wanderung am Fuß des Geschriebensteinmassivs. Von der Friedensburg in Stadtschlaining hinaus in den südlichen Hotter und über den Erzberg und Altschlaining zurück zur Burg.

To avoid misunderstandings: No, it is not "the" Erzberg. It would also be a bit much to hike from southern Burgenland to upper Styrian Eisenerz in 1.5 hours. 😅 ... however, Schlaining also has a "hill" with the same name as its famous namesake 😎

Eine aussichtsreiche Runde um den Gmosberg, oberhalb von Bocksdorf. Natürlich inklusive Gipfel. Und stellenweise wirklich bombastisches Panorama.

A really nice round with plenty of views. 😎 The definitive summit of the Gmosberg is here (again) on a field. However, there is a path - not marked - leading away from the road above the field (and back to the road). 🙂 I missed it on my tour and walked along the edge of the field. 🥵

Wanderung über den Jesusberg
Auch im westlichen Oberwarter Hotter gibt's einige Wege zu bewandern. Teils mit genialer Aussicht. Wie zum Beispiel über den Jesusberg. Mit sportlichem Anstieg, Panoramaabschnitt und langen flachen Wegen zurück.

Über den Steinriegel zum Fischteich
Eine Wanderung zu Zweit bei herrlichem Wetter vom Schloss in Rotenturm über den Steinriegel zum Fischteich. Und dort natürlich eine Einkehr zur Pause ins "KOI - Kulinark am Teich". Danach mit einer knackigen Steigung durch den Wald über Jabing wieder zum Ausgangspunkt.

Markt Allhau Höltlhöhe
Grenzgeniale Aussicht und wunderbares Licht war heute bei meiner Wanderung vom Zentrum in Markt Allhau hinauf zur Höltlhöhe. Mit Weitblick vom Geschriebenstein über den Ringkogel bis in die Bucklige Welt. Hat richtig Spaß gemacht.

Note: From route kilometer 2.5 to 2.7, there is no path. Even though one is marked on the map. You have to find your own way here. But it's not a big deal.
