Johan Dietrich Rahman from Cologne had the pharmacist's house built in 1668, as a plaque on the house wall confirms: “This dwelling was honored by Johan Dietrich Rahman Bey Cöllen am Rein gebiertig and pharmacist in the Varau district, to honor God and dear Vatterland in 1668 . Year".
