The Nativity Chapel has stood in a prominent location above the village of Lind for almost two decades. By constructing the chapel, the builder fulfilled a vow made by his parents during the Second World War and chose a fantastic block nativity scene (made of wood, unpainted) by an Austrian sculptor as its main motif.

The "Peace on Earth" proclaimed by the angels to the shepherds, as described in the Gospel of Luke, is the chapel's motto—and what more could we need?

In 2006, Willy Daufenbach fulfilled an old promise and fulfilled his mother Margarethe's wish: As a thank you to God for the safe return of her two sons from World War II, he had the Nativity Chapel built in Lind. His brother Hans Daufenbach had already died of blood poisoning in 1946, so Willy Daufenbach took on the project. Construction began in the fall of 2005, the foundation stone was laid in March 2006, and the chapel was ceremoniously consecrated in September 2006. Source: aw-wiki.de/index.php/Krippenkapelle_Lind

The beautiful carving of the Holy Family, located inside the chapel, is particularly worth seeing.
