On the axis between the Schinkelkirche and the former manor, on the former "Schreiberick'schen property", is the magazine or the granary from 1781. The half-timbered building, once exposed only with bare bricks, underwent some renovation work in the 1860s and received a plaster. Equipped with a debris floor under its roof, it mainly served as a stately storage magazine for grain and other harvest products.

Until 1992 it was used by agriculture as a granary and was renovated in 2004. Today, the Freundeskreis Straupitzer Kornspeicher runs a home exhibition and a cozy café, while on the upper floor a pottery produces beautiful ceramics.

The granary is open every day except Monday mornings to afternoons. You can drink coffee in a historic setting, eat Plinse, etc. The museum is old but worth seeing and shows many objects and evidence from the old Straupitz.

Here you can eat delicious homemade cakes and have a drink. Especially recommended: elderberry spritzer! And you do something good, because the sale is carried out by volunteers for the association that runs the small museum.

In addition to the granary, there is still art, and the inner courtyard is also worthwhile

Very nice old half-timbered house, formerly an old granary, now a nice café

Between the Schinkel Church and Straupitz Castle, the Straupitz granary, built around 1798, is part of the castle area. In addition to an exhibition filled with antiquarian contemporary witnesses of the village's centuries-old history, there is a shop gallery and the opportunity to linger over coffee and homemade cake. On selected days of the year, book readings or lectures by local chroniclers take place at the granary. Festivals such as Witches' Night or Easter, which revolve around the region's customs, are also celebrated at the granary.

Just across the river from the Kahnhafen stands the Old Granary in Straupitz, built in 1798 and still in use until 1990. Today, an exhibition spread over three floors, reminiscent of grandma's day, features armchairs, cupboards, coffee pots, and other household appliances and everyday objects from "the past." Furthermore, the preservation of Spreewald traditions and regional artists play a prominent role.
