Nice facility, so that the "little ones" can relax a little from the way up or just romp around. And all garnished with a great view of the surroundings.

Beautifully designed small area above the storage pool with play and employment opportunities for children. Unfortunately, some things have suffered a bit (e.g. the trampoline and the swings, under the scaffolding of which there is now a lounger), but there is still plenty more to discover.

You can get to the summit with the steam-powered narrow-gauge railway (hsb-wr.de).

The ascent via the Braunlage ski slope (valley station from the cable car) is tough. Straight ahead, always looking at the Wurmberg to find out that it is still a long way up.
There are also paths that lead around it and are probably not quite as strenuous as 3.5 km steeply uphill.
For this, as so often, when you arrive at the top, you are rewarded with a great view. There is a storage basin on the Wurmberg, which is used in winter for the snow cannons / artificial snow lances. The pool is fed with water from the Warmen Bode.

There is also the Wurmberg Alm, where the stamp box is located. The Wurmberg-Alm invites you to take a long break with the best view and offers many delicacies.
    Stamp point for HWN fans!
Of course, there is also a view of the neighboring Brocken. :)There are many beautiful photo points on the Wurmberg for an extensive shoot. The Wurmberg tower is reminiscent of the ski jumping hill of that time, where national and international ski jumping competitions took place. The German ski jumping championships also took place here.
