The rocky hiking area, a mountain ridge with a height of up to 1,000 meters east of the Lusen National Park Center, is characterized by mighty boulders made of gneiss and its primeval forest-like character. The rocks can be hiked through on almost mystical, narrow paths. The interplay of rocks, trees and dead wood in the steep terrain make the area unique and a popular destination. In the rocky hiking area there is a mandatory route, leaving the marked routes is not allowed to protect endangered animal and plant species.
