The Irish Peace Tower is the central monument in the Irish Peace Park in Mesen, West Flanders. The park and the tower were built in memory of the Irish soldiers who were killed, wounded or missing in action during the First World War. The tower, which has a height of 30.5 metres, is designed according to the traditional model of an Irish round tower. Since September 2023, the park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The gray stone tower pays tribute to the fallen soldiers of the entire "Irish island", both Irish Republicans and Northern Irish Unionists. After all, they carried out the terrible attack on Messines side by side on the Messines Ridge. The stones used come from Mullingar, Ireland. The tower has a typical Irish shape of 8th century spiers.

A remarkable place due to the striking tower (similar to the Ulster Memorial), but the common struggle of the Irish (Catholic and Protestant!) In a time of Irish division is commemorated here in a special way. Quotes from Irish soldiers on steles give the place a mental depth and the view of the battlefield a little deeper ensures a real visualization of the events. Very worthy facility.
