Until 1830, a half-timbered church was built, was the inhabitants of the community Kehnert a chapel on the estate available. Except for the west gable, in 1866 the framework had been replaced by bricks. Inside, friezes and corner garlands adorn the pulpit. For example, carvings from the 18th century and probably from the older chapel have been taken over.
Between Kehnert and Bertingen is the lake Bertinger. He invites you to swim, fish and relax.

Kehnert is a district of the town Tangerhütte in the south of the district Stendal in Saxony-Anhalt.
1306, the place was mentioned as Konre in a land book. The church was built in 1830 as a half-timbered building and was expanded in 1886.
